I use Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro

Might find some templates over at www.lockon.ru or www.lockonfiles.com

Otherwise use the lock on skins as templates.

You can use "PAINT" on your PC if you want. I can tell you, as a photographer that uses it, that Photoshop is definitely not free. Probably a good 3 years of allowance before you could afford it.

That's a good find, it's most likely the best freeware graphic editing software you'll find. It's a little awkward at first but you can get used to it. Good luck.

ok first i wanted let u guys know that im sorry for bothering you guys so much. ANd thankyou for answering most of my topics but I have a couple more questions about skinning.

1.Is there a way on the templates to make the symetry lines between different parts darker to make it easier to seee.

2. does the backround color around the parts matter? And if it does what does that change?

3. How did you guys get your logos and your details so perfect. Did you make that?

4. Ok installing a mod. I know your suppose to use modman and mod maker but. I put my test into an intsall as temp textures and added the pakage and it didnt work. I only painted 1 texture though and didnt paint the other one would that be the reason or are there just more steps that i misssed to take in modman.

5. Are theyre any layers that i should have like a transperency layer last or something like that. Is there any layer order.

May u please anser these questions for me with no link because to be honest i need one of those skinning tutorial in lomac books for dumies and most likely read the other links alreadyou again sorry im being so annoying.
